Weekend in the nature





 Okay so now it’s getting clear that I’m not able to hit my goal of publishing my Sunday until Monday 11am. But I am trying my best here so please do excuse me.

So let’s start shall I? Yesterday we went hiking — it’s sorta a starting tradition for us. We were looking for a place which is close to Warsaw, but not as close asKampinos National Park where we and the whole Polish nation spent their last week Sunday. Somehow it is a bit difficult to find a good place to hike and I think the reason is because there are so many places you could go. Back at home it’s much easier, I believe it’s because we leave in the basin of a mountain/hill — depends on your standers haha — and if you wanna go hiking that’s the place you go the end. But here you travel 20mins to get outta the city and then you have to find a forest which is nice and which has parking lot as well. Parking is a huge concern for me because I don’t want to risk getting my car towed away or get it damaged by some angry farmers/rangers. So I downloaded OsmAndMaps where I found a promising green national landscape park with a parking lot so I decided that’s the way to go.

It took an hour to get to the place and boy it worth it. There were huge trees nice little gravel roads that were actually a road between two villages! Near one of the villages I found some bricks that been thrown out in the woods by some pricks and those bricks had letters on them! (Quick background story: I’m collecting bricks that has letters pressed on them. It’s a pretty awesome hobby I think) The only problem was the car was 4km away! So we had to carry the 3 nicest to the car in our hands! Oh my days it was a long trip! One of those suckers weight somewhere around 3-5kg and they were all wet that must have added some extra weight to them… And the best part is the green line trail what has lead to an electric fence and behind that were 10+ cows that were watching us closely. So we had to go cross country thru bushes creek and what have you. We even saw tow random deers on the way! 

This trip was epic and I am super happy I had to find new bricks to my collection!

The actual first day at the University of Warsaw

  Soo, I know I already wrote a blog with this title, but that day (the day before yesterday?) I only had an online class which does not qualify as a normal in-person class! It simply does not. My first class was an online class, at 4pm – which is always fun – after it was my second class that was at the university! What a relief to have a class where I can see other people, and the lecturer doesn’t have terrible audio! What was not that good about it is it was freaking hard! I wasn’t expecting a Polish language class to be easy but wow! It is the next level of randomly placed letters in a word. And the fact that the class starts at 6.30pm does not help us. It seems like usually we are allowed to miss two classes, which is less – by one – than we can in Pécs, but here at the language course we have two classes per week and also two opportunities to miss class which honesty sucks… I do want to learn a Slavic language to be able to communicate in the Balkan, or catch some word when my

Let's pretend this is day one(?)

  Today we just took the time to really concentrate on ourselves. In the morning we slept late, then I did my little yoga with Bohobeautiful, after that we started cooking lunch and dinner yada-yada-yada. We did participate in an online webinar about the library in Warsaw. To be completely honest I am not big of a fan of libraries. Not like I wouldn’t like to read, but somehow every time I went to the library back at home, I could tell based on people’s look that they knew I was studying sports and therefore I did not belong to a library. Of course, Sara was paying attention she studies at the faculty of Humanities, “her type’s” natural habitat is the library. While we were listening to the presentation, I had the time to think. Last Day in Warsaw

  Our last day in Warsaw… When we got up the whole apartment was basically completely empty. Nothing was left, but a few backpacks, the food in the fridge, and the clothes we were about to put on. It was really sad. To start the morning exciting, and cheer ourselves up a bit we started our day in Costa Café or the Nero café — I honestly have no idea — where instead of coffee we drank chai latte. Sari did made me chai latte before, but since we don’t have either a printer nor the balls to print money we used cheep coffee and cheep chai thingy, which meant I was almost drinking something completely different. I absolutely loved the chai latte they gave me, so did Sari. Bummer, I wish I knew about this earlier. After our coffee break we packed everything and headed for the last shopping, we bought the little things that were absolutely needed for our successful trip home: bread, doughnuts, and the missing kinda beers.
