Planning Meeting Planning


Yesterday we started our day planning. Planning our future. Haha okay not our future-future, I just wanted to sound dramatic. Honestly, I rather say we started playing with ideas, destinations of our future trip! We know it for sure, that we wanna go to Northern Poland, we know we wanna see Gdansk, and possibly Szczecin, but where next? There were mentioned some big city names thru our discussion like Berlin and Prague! I’m really curious about driving in Germany; the autobahn, the no speed limit straights, the super disciplined drivers, aand the super good quality fuel – or at least that’s what day say. Anyways I just wanna experience it and see if any of those idioms(?) are true.
About the cities… To be completely honest I don’t really wanna go to Berlin, I’ve been there with my brother, and I feel like I could live a complete life without going back there again. Although I could have a curry wurst any time of the day, no problem I was really digging that thing. What I was also really digging is the Czech Republic! Right on the Polish-Czech border there are some incredible rock formations! I’ve been there with a couple of friends and boy I wanna see those places again! Here I’m talking about Teplice Rocks and Hruba Skála I’m linking the Instagram pictures I’ve shared back then, check them out! Erm, yeah and of course we will/would see some new places as well, but to learn about them you have to wait a bit. Our plan is to drive from Szczecin to Prague possible thru East Germany, possible thru West Poland, not quite sure we will see where we can find more interesting pitstops – if you have any suggestions about unmissable places, we are opened for them please do tell us!

After some planning we went to meet Sári’s mentor Ola! We met up for a coffee at the place we met her for the first time – okay to be politically correct, the first time I met her in Warsaw, but the very first time for Sári actually met her in person. That meet up was before I started writhing this blog?! Is that possible?! I gotta check – some checking later – no, actually my 2nd blog is about meeting Ola! Wow! And 45 blogs later, we met at the same café! Wow, we should have celebrated that roundish anniversary! (editor’s note: yes, this is the 47th blog I’ve written!)
Sári and I was so hocked up on planning, we found ourselves doing some more planning with Ola! We were thinking about a one-day trip to Gdansk for today, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get to do it. But we are meeting her tomorrow for a trip, stay tuned for that!
We also played some cards we taught her how to play Rummy – römi for Hungarian readers – and the ‘Italian Rummy’ – at least that’s it mirror-translated name from Hungarian. It was a fun meeting her, unfortunately our diet had to end it because we were starving and had to get back home to grab some food.

It was a great day, I hope today ain’t gonna be any different,

Last Day in Warsaw

  Our last day in Warsaw… When we got up the whole apartment was basically completely empty. Nothing was left, but a few backpacks, the food in the fridge, and the clothes we were about to put on. It was really sad. To start the morning exciting, and cheer ourselves up a bit we started our day in Costa Café or the Nero café — I honestly have no idea — where instead of coffee we drank chai latte. Sari did made me chai latte before, but since we don’t have either a printer nor the balls to print money we used cheep coffee and cheep chai thingy, which meant I was almost drinking something completely different. Eastern Poland

  Yesterday we broke the record of the number policeman we have met ever in a day. They were everywhere. However before getting in to that we started our day in Bialystok. Where it was -10°C in the morning! I got us some breakfast then till Sari packed our staff I went to get our car. While I was walking to it I checked all the cars on the street how icy were they trying to assume how thick ice cover did my car grow overnight. Luckily the car was only covered with some snowish loose staff that was easy to get rid off with a broom. However in the inside everything was frozen. The motor didn’t even start for the first time, then when it finally started it sounded like when you didn’t put the dishes properly in the washing machine and everything falls out, that was the exact same noise my motor was sounding. Sunday Market

  Yesterday we went to the Sunday Market. Or actually we went to a Sunday market – I suppose there are several Sunday markets all over Warsaw. The one we went to is called Gielda Staroci na Kole. Although it wasn’t as big as the Sunday market in Pécs, I still wouldn’t call it small. As we saw they mostly sell porcelains, old coins, tools, and similar useful goods. Visiting this market was quite an experience! The market itself takes place at a closed garden, but the garden seems to be not big enough for all the sellers, some of them sell their staff on the street right next to the market! First, we didn’t even know what’s up with that place. We didn’t see the conception. It took some time and some walking for us to comprehend what’s going on. I might’ve told you earlier, my plan was to buy a bike, so I could ride it to the uni, so one of the reasons we went to the market to see if they have bikes, if they have how much they cost, and what they look like.
