Thursday

Oookay, so yesterday was a pretty lazy day. We basically did nothing. Well, I rather say nothing spectacular. I should have had one online class, but I didn’t receive any invitation to a Google Meet whatever as I normally do. I checked my email accounts several time, but I finally gave up. After almost 45 minutes after the official start of the class I did receive an email from the professor apologizing for the late notification, but he got Covid, thanks God he is okay, just lost his sense of taste, but we won’t have classes till I don’t know maybe for 2 weeks or so.

Apart from this unsuccessful class I kept my promise I made myself yesterday and I did listen to my favorite podcast called Fake Doctors Real Friends! It feels like I’m already better at understanding what they are saying after just one of their podcasts! Maybe it’s not my English is what I’m having problem with, maybe the lack of concentration skill(?) is the problem. Anyway, I’ll keep listening to them and improve myself!

And another thing I’m working on is our Polish holiday plans. We’re going to have 2 days off next week because Thursday is a holiday in Poland, and we would like to travel somewhere. My original plan was to go to Gdansk, then to Szczecin from there to Berlin, then head south to the Swiss Saxon National Park and Praha, and then back to Warsaw. But Sara doesn’t wanna travel that much, and it would be pretty expensive, so she does have a point…
The other option is to take a train go to Gdansk and do the northern part of my trip with public transport – given the gas prizes this would be the most economical decision, but on the other hand do we wanna sit 5 hours on a covid infested train? – or take a plane to Finland and travel around there. I wanna go to Nordkapp the Northernmost point of Continental Europe! This time of the year would be really interesting, we would only have something like 2 hours of sunlight max, it’s most likely covered with snow, and if we got lucky with the clouds, we could see the Northern light as well! What a trip it would be! But it’s also stupid expensive, and I’m afraid we cannot afford to do that… accommodations are freaking expensive! Maybe we should just sleep at the railway stations to make the trip affordable… I don’t know. We will see… I hope we will find a way to travel cheap!

If you have any ideas, please do share them with us, we are opened for any suggestions!
Thanks,

Almos
