Yet Another Shopping Day
Yesterday was a quite busy day. We’ve visited at least 3 shops – if we don’t count our pitstop at Zabka for some hotdogs. Oh, yes after what feels like a year, we finally got some hotdogs!
But let’s start
our day in the beginning, shall we?
I had some doubts
about us going to Gdansk the day before yesterday, but somewhere deep in my
hearth I still had hope. Well, yesterday morning that little hope was gone really
quick when we got up and I checked the time; it was pretty late, almost 10 am I
believe. So, we ditch the trip and came up with a new plan. We wanted to go to
a Decathlon, and by something… I can’t even recall what we wanted to buy – I guess
it must be something very important right? Anyway, we checked on Google how
many Decathlons are in Warsaw, where those shops are, which are the ones we might’ve
already been to; and we found one that we have never been to, but looked like a
big store with buncha stuff in it – I’m not materialist, but in the end
of the day that’s what matters, doesn’t it? So, the shop looked great we were
all excited about going there, when it turned out it is 40 minutes by bus. But we
were so in the mood of shopping (I cannot believe I’ve just written those words
wtf?!) or I should rather say we were committed to leave the apartment (yeah,
this is more “me”) we were okay with sitting on a disease spreader for 40
minutes. But you know what? That bus tour was actually pretty interesting! I’m
really glad we didn’t back off the plan, because we got to see yet another side
of Warsaw! We were traveling on a highwayish road and on the right side we saw
those ugly communist-like apartment block, while on the other side there were
these fancy newly designed, high-end apartment block with glass guardrails and
etc. It was a really interesting moment to see the past and the future in the
same place. One day we, or our grandchildren will look at those shiny and fancy
apartment blocks and they will be disgusted by their looks – just as we are disgusted
by the looks of the commie concrete boxes.
When we got to the
shop, we explored the whole of it. It was interesting to see the difference in
the prices and the supply – compared to Hungary ofc. After it was enough of the
sporty stuff, we went to another shop called tiger? As far as I can tell that
shop is full of things that look good, makes some wanna buy them, but in reality,
you do not need anything what they can offer. That place is full of future trashcan
fillings. Absurd. After the catty shop we went to our last shop to buy some
food, but at that point I was just trying to survive, so basically, I have no
memories to share with you.
But what I do
wanna share with you is how we got those hotdogs! So, when we finished our
exciting Decathlon tour we were starving. There was a McDonalds near the bus
station, but I wasn’t willing to pay 50 zloty for a sandwich, or two sandwiches
– it doesn’t really change the point – so I decided we should hop on a bus and head
downtown to find a Zabka and have some hotdogs. Hmm… as it turned out this story
is waaay more boring than I though it was going to be! Unfortunately I'm really tired.
I believe today’s
blog doesn’t have an educational part… neither an entertaining part, so sorry
for taking your time and disappointing you. I’m not even gonna share this blog
on Instagram it’s so bad. Buuutttt in case you do read it, it means you are a
hardcore fan who is fallowing me regardless my Instagram promotions, so thank
you!
Tomorrow blog will
be much-much better, thank you for your support and take care!
