Back On Instagram, Plus Christmas Lights in the City

So, just before I get into today’s blog I wanna do a quick heads up to those who read my blog from my Instagram stories. My laptop had died a few days ago so from now on I’m writing my blog on my iPhone — and old crapy iPhone — which unfortunately has a limited capacity of everything basically, but I’ll do my best to make your reading as enjoyable as possible!

So, yesterday yes. Yesterday we cooked some amazing spaghetti — yeah I know it’s not the hardest thing to cook but it was really good — then we watched some Breaking Bad, and when we finally had enough of the show we went for a walk.

We got on the tram number 13 which has a great route to the historic downtown. The line is shaky, curvy with full of accelerations and decelerations it’s literally like a rollercoaster. And it stops right after the tunnel that runs under the downtown. It’s really beautiful.

By the time we got of the tram it was already dark, and for our biggest surprise all the lights were on! (Yeah maybe a little heads up is needed here as well; when Anna and Mate were here all the Christmas lights were prepared the Christmas tree was at its place ready to shin, however for some unknown reasons to science the council refused to turn them on… until yesterday! — seems like.) We did our little tour of the historic downtown, which is thanks to the Nazis and Commies is really small. Although the whole downtown is just like six streets max. every single inhabitant of Warsaw were walking around on them. The place was super crowded! We walked from the main square to the barbican and back to the main square, but the incredible amount of people made the whole experience less and less enjoyable, till the point when we said fuck it we are going home. We will go back maybe on Monday, I expect significantly less people wondering around in the downtown on a Monday night than on a Saturday night. What were we thinking?!

Although walking around downtown wasn’t the best experience, it was really necessary for us to leave the apartment for a bit. This whole online studying is great, apart from the fact it’s not. Sitting home and looking at the walls isn’t great plus we haven’t seen any other students in two years? At least I haven’t, Sari has better luck with the university in this perspective.

However it’s not gonna be like this in a few weeks — hopefully. We called a vaccination center to get our third dose, and as soon as we got it we are hitting the road! Oh, yes can’t wait for that to finally happen! And don’t worry you guys are invited as well!

Till then, take care have a great day and a vaccine against Covid-19, if you can! It’s a lifesaver, like literally.

Have a good one,

Almos
