Cultural Day

Yesterday was cultural day. In the end of the day. However it didn’t start like that in the morning.

When I got up I went to mall — in the past few days I’ve been to so many malls I can’t even recall its name or even where it was… I was looking for two particular items however to make life easier they were in completely different kinda shops. Although I walked around all the flights at least twice I could not find what I was looking for. — it’s kinda funny because so many things happened to me thru my shopping trip I would love to tell you, but I’m afraid Sari might read my blog and I would get busted —

When I finally gave up it was already dark, and I’ve received a warning message from Sari that we have to be at the theater by 1745. So, I was in a rush to get home. I mean I didn’t even had anything in my stomach, so I had to have lunch/dinner I don’t know what to call a meal at 1645.

We’ve put on our nice clothes; the theater appropriate clothes — yes you don’t go to a fucking theater in jeans damn it. Unfortunately I only had a nice shirt no suits, but at least I wasn’t wearing jeans damn it. Sari looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress, but I guess you didn’t expect else from her — I know I didn’t, she knows how to dress up.

While she was getting ready I was supposed to go to a grocery shop and bought us a small bottle of water. However I didn’t. I did buy a bottle of water, but I got fooled by the label. I got fooled bad. I wanted to buy a half liter bottle, I found several bottles in the fridge all 0.5 liters  except one. But that one was the cheapest and the label said 472 something. It was kinda suspicious a strange number like that. In what unit could it make sense? — I thought. Anyway I bought it, when Sari saw it she wasn’t pleased with it… The whole point of buying a bottle was that we needed a smaller bottle than the ones we already had and I bought an even bigger one… I kinda see her point.

Anyway we got on a bus and commuted to the National Opera. You can Google it, it’s a big-ass building, it has several shops and cafés in the side of it. It took us at least 8 minutes to find the entrance. We weren’t running around desperately, it had only taken us 8ish minutes because it’s such a huge building.

When we finally found our way in everyone was filling out some sorta paper, we had no idea what it was so I had to ask several people about it. First I asked a girl but she didn’t speak any English — she was our age wtf?! — then I asked the cashier, it didn’t really made any sense what she was saying, so I asked another girl, she and her mother could help us which was a relief, because the whole paper was Polish. As it turned out it we had to write our names, contact, and our seats’ numbers.

After all the hustle we eventually got inside the whole place looked a bit cheap. The huge columns where covered with aluminum and etc. Although the building itself wasn’t really special the Nutcracker was pretty good. The details in the play were uncanny. It was really interesting. I was happy Sari made us watch it.

Us looking all smart and dressed up, and that special water bottle.

That’s if for today, I hope you weren’t expecting some serious analysis of the play because this isn’t that kinda blog.

Take care of yourselves folks, see you tomorrow
