New Trip Is Being Planned

So, yesterday kinda started slowly… Not because we were lazy, but because yesterday there was a house party. And yes, I deliberately said ‘there was’ instead of ‘we had’ because it was our upstairs neighbor who was partying not us. Were weren’t invited, however we sill were part of the party. Loud music and lot of dancing above us. We usually fall asleep listening to the news, this was a completely new background music to fall a sleep to. I’d like to point out how wrong the IRO or Welcome Point or whoever gave us the presentation of Polish rules, they said after 2200 there will be no loud noise, Polish people respect the sleeping hours. Well they don’t. Haha. Or the politically correct way to say it is; Polish people don’t respect the sleeping hours more than any other European nation — except Southern Europeans I guess. Anyway when we finally got up we came up with an idea. See we want to travel to all the major cities in Poland, however till now we have only been to Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk, Poznan and Sopot. (I think I’ve underestimated the number of cities we’ve been to… Anyway) We wanted to put another city on the list, a city Julia has told me definitely worths a trip, especially in before Christmas; so we could see the Christmas Market. And this place is called Wroclaw! We found a nice, acceptably priced apartment and booked it. However what we didn’t book were train tickets. Yes, since we only had two dose of vaccines, and that’s been over six months we are not as immune to the virus as we used to be. Probably. Hence it didn’t sound like a good idea to sit on a train for three hours in the Covid-cloud with half of the travelers wouldn’t wear a mask properly. (Let me take a note here: if you think wearing a mask is stupid just grow some balls and don’t wear them! I hate to see people who only have their masks on their chin. It’s like they are brave enough to don’t be scared of the virus, however they are afraid of getting a fine. Grow some balls and stand by your opinion — even if it’s a stupid one) Although it would be definitely cheaper, more sustainable, better for the environment. Although it does make lot if sense to go by car, I still think it’s a mistake. The train gets there in four to five hours?! When I’ve started the previous sentence I thought the train ride wouldn’t take more then 3.5 hours! Okay, my opinion has slightly changed, because I was going to say, the GPS says it takes 3 hours 45 minutes to get to Wroclaw from Warsaw, however our polar bear and nonetheless wallet friendly driving style would require at least 4 hours 15 minutes, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was rounded up to almost 5 hours. Wroclaw is pretty far away doesn’t matter how you wanna get there — actually it’s only 55 minutes by plane, but who wants to use the least environment friendly way to travel?! I’m also sceptic if it’s a good idea to drive almost 5 hours to sleep one night then 5 hours back… I think we should either drive more till we get to the Czech Republic, or we should’ve found a different city to visit. But don’t tell Sari I said that, she would be pissed. But you’ll see how it went down, whether it actually worth it or not in the upcoming blogs! Till then take care, Almos
