Clouds

So, yesterday… I can’t really recall what happened yesterday… And to be honest I’m struggling quite a lot in the last few days when it came to writing my blog. Partly because I’m always walking at the time I used to write, however there’s also another reason. Slowly our Erasmus is coming to an end! Only 31 days are left! And 31 days are not an awful lot. It really makes me sad and overwhelmed. I know we haven’t been here for 10 years, but trust me thinking about leaving Warsaw does feel like leaving a place that we’ve been living for the past 10 years. I’m gonna miss the city, the apartment, and I most certainly will miss the safe and warm garage.

Although it’s quite hard to remember what happened yesterday I’ll try to do my best recalling.

Sari had a class in the morning, so I walked her to the bus stop, then I walked back home to wash all the dishes. After I was done Sari’s classes were over so I went to meet her. The plan was to get to the meeting point at the exact same time, but some how the subway was way faster then any of us would’ve expected it to be, so I was still on my way when Sari was already there. She asked me where I was and I thought it would be educational — not sure if that’s the word I’m looking for here — to send her a picture of my current position and let’s see if she could find out where I was. The first picture wasn’t too obvious, however on the second she couldn’t have seen the sign of the street if she would’ve watched instead of saw. However, however when I was composing the picture I saw something I haven’t saw for a very long time. Up above me there was a huge blue thingy. It was the sky! The sky was there! Not the hateful, disgusting, depressing, gray clouds. It just made my day. I was so glad to finally see the blue sky and the sun. Whenever I’m planning to go to a new place in Warsaw like a bus station, or the airport when our guests were coming I always checked the place on Google Street View. And for the first few months I didn’t realize what was odd about those pictures. However in the last month it got obvious. All the Street View pictures were taken at summer, all the pictures had beautiful blue sky! So, every time I checked something I was like ‘that place looks so beautiful how is that possible that there’s such a nice place in Warsaw and I haven’t been there yet?!’ And then I usually realize that that place is either in our neighborhood or our actual street, but with sunlight and blue sky. I’m gonna say it… clouds are fucked up! We definitely don’t need them unless they are for snowing, raining, or providing shade in the summertime.

I got a bit distracted I think, but I have to close today’s blog here, I hope y’all doing great!

Take care,

Almos
