So, yesterday was finally a rest day. Two days before yesterday was the end of our contest and that night I went to bed late because I was waiting on the results. Than the day before yesterday I got up early, not because I wanted to, just because I got used to getting up early. Unlucky, eh? Anyway, the day before yesterday I went to bed in time and then yesterday I slept in pretty late, and now I’m pretty much reenergized — yes, I believe todays blog isn’t going to be the most exciting blog, where I discover new places in Warsaw, but I want you to see that not everyday will be extremely exciting when you are on Erasmus; somedays are very exciting; actually most of the days, but there are also days when you just need to get some rest.
We played cards watched some Kara and Nate the usual staff. I’ve started really loving their content recently. Although it seems like they are a bit fakeish with their #vanlife thing and they are doing that country counting thing that is kinda unnecessary, they still seem to be really nice, and they don’t claim themselves to be hardcore vanlifers, and they also don’t suggest or give you that feeling if you haven’t been to a *random number* country you are nobody. So they aren’t that fake after all. And their contents are pretty great, check them out if you are out on the market for a youtube channel.
While we were playing card I accidentally looked out of the window and saw some pretty dark clouds North from Warsaw. They really looked like storm clouds even though storms are not that common at winter. After a few minutes everything got dark outside and when I turned West I saw the end of the storm clouds. It looked like a supercell, but I couldn’t tell from side profile. While I was trying to work out what the heck was what we were seeing hail started falling from the sky! It really was an enormous storm cloud which resulted meteorological phenomenon that are more typical in the summertime than at winter. I’m not saying such thing never happened before the industrial revolution, however us burning fossil fuels does make these phenomenons more frequent. So, don’t drive to Starbucks for a fucking coffee do your own at home damn it. Stop driving around for no reason! Take a bus, ride, or just simply walk! I walk or ride all the time! I can assure you it’s totally doable! I might consider yesterday as a rest day, however in the evening I still managed to walk 9 km! I did my everyday walk between the two nearby rondos — roundabouts in Polish — and then back to our apartment.
That’s today’s blog’s message; drive less, walk more! Your grandchildren will thank you later.
Thanks for reading, and choosing walking over driving!
Take care
Almos
