Password: Silver Lining
I’d love to say that if you go on an Erasmus everyday of it will be remarkable. However it might be true.
However, however it really depends on you what you can make out of your days. Yesterday nothing so special happened that I feel like I should share with you, however on my evening walk I did came across something really funny. As I was doing my usual Rondo Dasinksiego to Rondo ONZ walk I felt like I needed to walk a bit more. So, I walked towards Zlote Tarasy, took a lap around it, walked by the best and cheapest kebab place I know in Warsaw, when I saw a GLS van parked on the side of the road. On that particular road cars have to park in a 45° engle — I personally think this is the most effective way to park, since more cars can fit than if they were parked parallel, but parking and maybe even joining the traffic flow is easier than from a 90° parking spot. Anyway, the van was significantly longer than the cars which the parking spaces were designed to, and the driver was smart enough to know if he parks as everyone else the whole rear of the van would’ve blocked half of the lane behind it. Hence, he parked the van with one wheel on the sidewalk which looked exactly like I was at a scene of the movie Cars, and that van was having a beer at a bar! Look at the picture and tell me I’m wrong because I know I’m not!
That van right there is waiting for the bartender to show up with his pint of beer!
With is silly sounding story I think I made my point. Even if your day seems kinda boring, and you fill hopeless it only depends on you whether you are willing to take the effort and open up your eyes to search for and to see the silver lining. Because I am a 100% sure that there is always a sliver lining if not many, but you have to get up and take the effort and search for it!
So, remember even if your day was a boring Sunday there is always a silver lining and I want you to go out there and find that silver lining! That’s what makes us humans special, that we not only search for something to eat, but also for happiness. And we all deserve happiness.
That’s it for today, remember:
‘behind the clouds, the Sun is shining
Believe me even though you can’t quite make it our
You may not see the silver lining
But there’s a big blue ski waiting right behind the clouds.’ — as Brad Paisley says or actually sings.
Okay, that’s it for today, I want you to remember there’s always a silver lining, and I want you to listen to that song — Behind the Clouds by Brad Paisley.
Take care,
Almos
