The Day Before My Last Exam

Yesterday, I almost didn’t do anything. That’s actually not true, I did work and I did walk quite a distance, what I meant was I didn’t study as much as it could’ve been necessary for a good final grade.

When I woke up I started the day with writing emails. As I told you earlier I’ve joined the mentor system of the University of Pécs, and I already had received a list of my mentees, however I didn’t have the time to contact them. Till yesterday. I wrote ten welcome email, and I think I had two or three answers for my messages so far.

After I was done with emailing it was already past noon, so we had a quick lunch, thankfully we had some leftovers from the day before yesterday, so we were covered for the day — lately we’ve found it hard to come up with dish ideas… I guess it’s mainly because we haven’t had anything else in the past four months than pasta, chicken, and burgers. And don’t give me wrong I’d eat burgers till I die, however it’s not the cheapest solution for a meal. (In fact I have no idea what our lunch is going to be today, but I think Sari has an idea.)

I’ve collected all the materials my teachers uploaded to the wonderful university website called USOS. I don’t hate it as much as I hate Neptun, but I also didn’t have the time to explore the true nature of that system. Soon however Sari’s online class was starting, and since I’ve killed our earphones, she has to listen to her class on speaker, which makes it impossible to pay attention to anything else then her class. So, I figured if I wasn’t going to study anyway, I would be better of with walking, seeing something new. And that’s what I did! First I did the usual ONZ — Dasinksiego round, but that wasn’t enough for me. I walked South from Dasinksiego, till I ended up behind a mall(?) called Hub. It was interesting because I’ve been around that place, just never actually behind the mall. It was confusing, because on the map it shows a big green place where the Hub is. I have done some expeditions to the hub, however for some reason I have never ever walked around the building! If I had it wouldn’t have been such a surprise yesterday how many fancy apartment blocks there were. I have even found an outside gym! Damn if I knew earlier! After I walked around I decided to do a last lap, and I walked to the Palace of Culture and Sciences. While I was walking towards it, I met the most selfish, the most idiotic person ever! I don’t like to hate people in general, but that moron made me mad. West from Rondo ONZ there are three asphalt lines for not vehicles. Near the road is a sidewalk, further away there’s a cycling path and right next to the buildings there’s another sidewalk. Guess where the maniac walked?! It’s stupid it’s unsafe — for the cyclists, and even for her! — and it’s also freaking annoying! The council spends buncha money to make everyone safe and happy, and then there’s a dingleberry who messes things up! Cycling lanes/paths are for cyclists, sidewalks are for walkers! Why is it so difficult?

I’ll leave you with this because I want it to sink in and I gotta study anyway.

Take care and keep off your shoes from our cycling lanes!
