Few Last Days Oof Studying

So, yesterday was spent basically like the day before yesterday… Studying. Not too ideal for closing this chapter of our lives, but Sari’s teacher clearly didn’t thought about Erasmus students — just to be fair I’m not even surprised, she teaches a class that’s not your typical Erasmus class.

While she was studying I/we started cooking; Chinese veggies with pasta and soy sauce was the menu, I’d say it turned out pretty great, Sari thought I’ve put way to much cayenne pepper in it… But we need it for it’s positive effects.

After lunch she studied an extra hour and so, however she eventually needed to have a break, so we went to a café, to chill a bit. The original plan was to go to the Etno café that’s right in front of us — which is not quite true, but we do see that place from our window. Although it seemed like it was empty from our apartment, it turned out to be PACKED, it was full of people. In case you would think ‘oh, no that’s not safe at Corona-time,’ don’t you worry, there was absolutely no space not even for a tiny little molecule of virus. We went to a near shop to check on some toothpaste and mostly to kill some time, however when we return nothing has changed, all the tables were taken.

So, we needed a plan b). Our plan b) turned out to be called Green Café Nero next to Rondo Dasinksiego. I wouldn’t say it was empty, however I can confidently say there were way less people than at the other café — and here we had bigger place to spread out, I guess that’s also a good thing right? We had two coffees and one apple pie-alike twisted something, which turned out to be absolutely delicious but also freaking expensive. Although I’m not a huge fan of coffee shops I have to admit it was a prefect place to plan our trip back to Hungary. To our second home. Or first home. I don’t know which one is the correct term… Planning wasn’t too easy mainly because of emotional hiccups or issues. We are about to leave our first-ish home! Anyway I don’t want to complain; back to the plan.

So, my plan for our drive home was to have at least two stops before we arrived to Hungary, I wanted to drive South next to the Vistula River, thru the tiny and beautiful village of Kazimierz Dolny, the same village — or maybe town — we’ve driven thru when we were returning from Lublin to Warsaw. Than I wanted to sleep somewhere in the Norther Carpathians, and just then drive thru Slovakia and into and almost thru Hungary. However various things made me give up on these fine plans, so now it seems like we are getting up as early as we can, get out paperwork done at the university, and leave Warsaw before 0900 on next Friday. If we left around 0900 we should be able to make it to Slovakia just in time to check out the Ice Dom before it closes for the night, and then drive another half an hour to our booked accommodation. The plan seems to be solid, and reasonable, we will if the university has other thoughts. So, we would make it to Slovakia, and on the next day, we would stop at Budapest, to meet up some friends, and then we would drive home. Sounds pretty exciting, eh?

After planning we had to come home and continue studying, however it will only continue for two more days — Monday is the date of the exam.

Wish us luck!

Take care,

Almos
