One of the Last Days
Yesterday was quite an eventful day. We’ve been to many places, we’ve been through many emotions.
When we got up, that was exactly when the suffering started. We started packing all our thing into the suitcases we brought with us. It goes without saying that this was not our favorite thing to do. But we kept doing it till we didn’t got terribly sic and tried of it, so we had to stop.
We got enough of packing just after 1400, which probably was the most convenient time for us to try the Etno Café right across the street — the street, a grassy area and another street, but you know what I meant, right?
The place was pretty weird, they didn’t had the coffee which we ‘usually drink — yeah that’s how little I know and care about coffee, I don’t even know what we usually drink — however they had something similar which had a completely different name, it was like we would’ve asked for a banana, but they would’ve told us they didn’t have banana, but they do have cherries, and then they would’ve brought you that yellow semilunar fruit. Strange. Some people might even say silly. When we eventually got our coffee we had the opportunity to sit to the very same table we can see from our windows. It was such a strange feeling. We were basically having a conversation at home, but not at all home. It seemed like a great farewell to our apartment. Although I feel like we should do it again tomorrow, just to make sure we will remember. Plus last time I forgot to turn on the lights in the windows, so our experience wasn’t as perfect as it could’ve been.
After a long conversation in the café, we headed home to get changed, because we were meeting our friends for the last time during our Erasmus. And the emphasis is on the ‘during our Erasmus’ because we hope to see them in Hungary or when we come back to Warsaw in two years time.
So, we met for dinner, however the plan a) place was packed, so we had to look for another place. We found a beautiful pizza place, with nice crew, and as it turned out later, they had pretty good pizza as well. However surprisingly this place was also full, so we had to wait to get a table. How would have expected that all the restaurants were going to be completely pack with people on a Tuesday night? Apparently not even the owners of the pizza place expected that many people, based on the fact that the whole huge place had only one waitress.
After all our tummies were just as full as the restaurants, we were looking for a place to have a drink, luckily Ola new the perfect place: an old house with huge basement, where we had the opportunity to be alone, but still in a bar. It was a great place, and it got even better when we walked up to buy some drinks and there was a dog! A dog was guarding the bartenders! He was very friendly, had beautiful fur, and unfortunately didn’t ‘hear’ any different language, but Polish.
We had only one drink, because today we have to continue packing. We walked together to the Palace of Culture and Sciences for the last-ish time where we had to say goodbye with a very heavy heart. I’m gonna miss this girls, and I’m thankful for their friendship, and help with everything.
That’s it for today, take care,
Almos
