Playing Mini-golf

 Yesterday was awesome! The morning started with writing my blog, then lunch and yaddi yaddi yadda, but then(!) things got exciting! Our friends; Ola and Julia invited us to play mini-golf with them!

The place where we were supposed to meet was on Novy Swiat street, a nice 40 minutes walk from us. Since I had to close the exercises ring on my watch I had to walk there,  however by the time we were supposed to leave Sari wasn’t ready, and she also wasn’t that into walking 40 minutes in the cold, so I left without her. At that point it became a race, who gets there first; Julia was coming from the Northern part of the city, Ola was coming from the same direction as us, however it was really unlikely to Sari and her to get on the same tram, and especially unlikely, or I could say it was the unlikelyest that I was gonna end up on a tram since my intention was walking right from the start. Although the race sounded exciting and was an interesting experiment I’ve already forgotten who got there first. I think it was Ola, Julia, me, and then Sari, but I could be wrong. What I know for a fact Sari got there last, which resulted me getting there last because I was waiting for her to reunite with her at the tram stop.

It took us some time to find the girls, although all we were only supposed to do was walk in a straight line. We walked pass Raketa which was that outside dance club we went to in the beginning of the semester. The place were going to turned out to be right next to Raketa, called Zagrywki. The girls were waiting outside for us, so we had no issue with getting inside. From the outside the place looked super fancy, huge glass walls and so on, however in the inside, it looked also super fancy. Haha. We had to go to the basement, because the mini-golf area was down there.

The mini-golf area turned out to be not mini at all! It was in a pretty big hall, there were eleven tracks, all of them had three possible ways of completing them; the white line was the easiest to start with, however it required the most hits — and as far as I know, the less hits you have to shoot the better player you are — the second line was the blue line, which was a bit harder to start with, however you ball got way closer to the whole than it would’ve if you aimed for the white line. The hardest and at the same time easiest line was the red one, which required prestige aiming, sharp reflexes, and tremendous amount of luck, once you managed to hit the ball to the red line it took a nice spin around in a tube, and fall right into the whole. I managed to take the red line two or three time — here, please imagine my smug face — however I have to confess that, I was the last one at each round, which meant I had the time and the opportunity to learn about the mistakes of the others. This shady tactic resulted me to became the winner, Sari took home second place, than Julia and Ola.

After golfing we played another few games and finished our day at a newish bar. It was such a great day, I’m really grateful for these two girls — actually for these three girls — for taking us out. I didn’t know what to expect from mini-golf, I wasn’t really keen to play it, but I had a blast, thanks you guys!

I hope you also had a good one,

Till tomorrow;

Take care,

Almos
